My girlfriend and I needed a summer getaway, and Surf and Sand is top of my list!

The weather was awesome, a real break from the Texas heat.  We soaked up the hotel's offerings, including Aquaterra, Splashes, and the fire pits with pristine views! 

Thank you for continuing the tradition, I've been coming there since 1991 and will return!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Surf and Sand! 

My husband first took me here for a 25th birthday surprise weekend. We instantly fell in love with it. Years later, we recently returned as a family of 3 with our newborn son. We have decided to move back up to the Washington State to be closer to family and friends and there was only one place that would do for a farewell to the great state of California: The Surf and Sand.

We came and spent our last two days as CA residents and somewhere in between listening to the waves crash, lying by the pool, playing at the beach and exploring Laguna, we decided we are a little crazy for ever deciding to leave! We made a vow to make the Surf and Sand our annual family vacation - and even found a special rock that we could take a family picture on each year!

Your resort is nothing short of perfection!

My family and I vacation at Surf and Sand every summer. It goes without saying that it is the most beautiful resort in Laguna but the main reason we return over and over is because of the wonderful staff. I can't say enough how much I love the staff from the moment we arrive we feel like we are home.

This year I reconnected with my High School best friend. Due to life changes and moves we had not seen each other in 25 years. We learned through our emailing back in forth we both spend part of our summer in Laguna Beach. This year we met at the Surf and Sand and it was as time had never passed. It was a very special moment and we will treasure our time together and the fact that we will always stay in touch from now on and possibly meet every summer. 

Thanks again to everyone at the Surf and Sand for making our summer vacation a vacation we will never forget!

"There is no hotel in the world like the Surf and Sand Resort"

I tell this to all my friends and relatives. I do a lot of traveling, been to the French Riviera, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico,  and more.  As beautiful as these place are, I have not yet found a resort like Surf and Sand where you are so close to the ocean that the water comes under your balcony. The sounds of the waves are soothing and relaxing.   A couple of nights at the Surf and Sand feels like a couple of weeks of retreat and relaxation. Wherever we vacation every summer its not complete until we stay a couple of nights at the Surf and Sand Resort.

We went to Sand & Surf Resort to celebrate our Anniversary. We had an amazing view of the ocean.

We had dinner delivered and set up on our balcony and we watched the sun setting while we ate on toasted our Anniversary! It was the most romantic time! A perfect place to go and celebrate!

We'll be back for sure!

We stayed at your resort and we absolutely loved it! We had one of the best times of our lives just relaxing at the cozy pool, enjoying the ocean and walking around in beautiful Laguna Beach. We also loved your perfectly equipped gym!

What a Beautiful place.  I have hundreds of amazing photos, it was hard to just pick a few.

We came to Laguna/Surf and Sand for the first time last summer and have been back twice since then.

It is only 21/2 hours from Denver and is quickly becoming a favorite vacation spot.

My Son Maxx is learning to Surf and Skim board, with his amazing instructor Ryah from the Laguna Surf and Sport shop.  What fun it has been watching this boy from Colorado pick up the sport and enjoy it so.
We  love the ocean and sitting on our balcony watching the dolphins or whales go by is such a treat.

The atmosphere, people, service and the food at the Surf and Sand are exceptional. Just thinking and reminiscing.... makes us ready to pack our bags.

A girlfriend and I reconnected after 6 months of not seeing each other at your resort this weekend.  We spent the morning at the beach, the afternoon at Aquaterra Spa, and a lovely late lunch at Splashes.  The facials and massages were wonderful, and the day ended with a delectable three-course lunch at Splashes, with this wonderful bottle of Pinot Noir.  The view from the wine glass tells the story of the amazing view that we had as we enjoyed seared ahi, lobster pasta, and lavender creme brulee.  Thanks for a wonderful day!

Your resort is a wonderful place for locals to reconnect with old friends!  I've done it twice now with my friend from NM and a friend from Northern California.  Whenever someone comes from out of town, I want to bring them here!

The picture was taken after a surprise engagement proposal. As the Surf and Sand was our first vacation together over 4 years ago when we lived in the MidWest, I wanted to go back and knew the location would be perfect.

The hotel helped us set up the surprise staging a false work event and informing the front desk who helped set up check-in and champagne on the beach. It was was flawless.

I also flew in our parents for the proposal to be with us on this special day who also got some VIP treatment. We followed the beach proposal with drinks and a gorgeous sunset then a wonderful evening at the hotel which helped me set up our room with roses and more champage. We can't wait to go back again!

The Surf and Sand resort will always hold a special place in our heart, because we had our wedding here!

My first visit to the Surf and Sand Resort was in the summer of 1988.  My husband had been killed in a work accident in April of 1988 and a dear friend, (still friends to this day!) took myself and my two children, ages 7 and 4 for our first experience at the Surf and Sand.

My children and I built so many memories during that time that the Surf and Sand has become a special place in all our hearts.  We have tried to visit annually since that time.  Surf and Sand is such an important part of our lives in fact that my children who are now 29 and 26 years old have been back to visit as adults.

The picture I have attached is of me at my most recent visit, July 3rd, 2010.   Unfortunately, because of the economy, I was not able to afford to stay as a guest, but I was able to have lunch at Splashes and sit in the “new” FifteenFiftyFive” Lounge area to “remember” and be so grateful for the wonderful memories my family has shared over the past 22 years. 

My prayer is to be able to stay again at this magnificent resort with my children, their spouses, and most important, share this peaceful place with my 19 month old grandson, Jackson Mark, named after his late Grandfather. 

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story.  The Surf and Sand will forever hold a special place in my heart and my children’s heart for helping us through the most difficult time in our lives.

I wish I had the pictures from 15fiftyfive from my cell where I was able to meet some girlfriends for a nightcap (it was comfy enough with the kids in their pj's to enjoy a hot cocoa, snuggle against us with blankets and pillows, and fall asleep so mom could catch up with old friends. 

What a treat!  It will surely be a new hot spot!!

I took the photo and, although it does not have kids or family members in them this time, they capture our feelings about the wonderful, relaxing environment that the Surf & Sand Resort provides.

The hotel, the beach and everything was just perfect and beautiful.  It was a time we will always cherish and treasure as we had much needed family time with walks on the beach, wave chasing, sand castle building and just hanging around spending time together.

My first experience at the Surf and Sand Resort; nearly 15 years ago left an everlasting memory in my mind; more importantly- THE OREO MILSHAKES!!!!  I am now able to pass down those unforgettable memories to my daughter.  The picture attached was a snap shot of my daughter drinking a Oreo Shake pool side at the Surf and Sand. 

I love The Surf and Sand Resort- I tell my wife it is like a private community and the outside world is on the other side of the Big Wooded gates.  We look forward to a life time of trips.

We drove out to Laguna from Scottsdale, AZ for a 3-day stay at Surf and Sand Resort which is one of my favorite places to stay in Laguna. 

We woke up each morning to the waves crashing against the beach, just below our room balcony.

My wife mentioned when we were dating how that was her favorite spot in Southern California, and I took her there once for a weekend for her birthday before we were married and the sound of California surf epitomized what brought me here.

Back in the beginning of 2006, if someone told me that in a few short months I would be transferred to Orange County, only minutes from Laguna Beach and sun year round, I wouldn't have believed it. But worked transfered me and I moved to the OC and rentedan apartment in Irvine.

A few weeks after moving here, I met the most incredible woman. She was born and raised in Glasgow and came out here with her family in the '80s.

Needless to say, that wonderful woman is now my wife, Amanda McLaughlin Mooney.

To make my story short...after an Honeymoon gone bad, we found redemption and the start of what's an incredible marriage at the Surf and Sand, and for that I thank all of the staff who made something so close to home so incredibly special.

This photo was taken down at the beach near the tide pools when we were staying at the Surf & Sand this past May.

It is a picture of my 5 year old daughter, Lilyann, and her little friend, Trainor, whom she met at the Surf & Sand pool.  She loves the pool (maybe even more than the beach)!

They were playing so well together that his mom asked us if we wanted to hike down to the tide pools with them. How could we resist? It was an absolutely gorgeous day in an absolutely gorgeous setting.  It was an even more amazing scene to see these little explorers run down the beach, run from the crashing waves, play in the sand, climb rocks and be fascinated by the tiny sea creatures.  And to think that all of this was just steps from our room!

We stayed at the Surf & Sand over our spring Break in April and it was our absolute FAVORITE place to stay on our S. CA trip.!!!

So when we went back to CA. in May for our daughters volleyball tournament we had to drive back to Surf & Sand and visit. 

These are some pictures my husband took of me and my girls.  The Surf & Sand was the most relaxing hotel on our trip. we LOVED the pool and the food at the restaurant was wonderful!!

We LOVE the Surf & Sand Resort and would LOVE LOVE to come stay there again!!!

We spent the weekend at our favorite place, it was grand. 

We came to Laguna Beach to get married.  Our stay was the best time we have had anywhere.  Everyone that came said "That was the best wedding I have ever gone to".  

I would like to thank all the staff for making our day the best, especially the Bellmen/Parking Guys.  They went above and beyond to help and make us feel at home. 

We got married at the Surf and Sand Resort last year in May, so we had to come back for our anniversary to the place where so many wonderful memories were made. 

As we walked into the resort one year later, there was another wedding that was about to start.  I burst into tears thinking how magical that day was for us and was going to be for this couple, now one year later.  We sat by the fire overlooking the magnificent panoramic ocean views and ate dinner at the Splashes Restaurant where we both enjoyed an array of our favorite and unique coastal cuisines. 

What a wonderful way it was to vacation and reminisce in the place that brought us so much joy and that will always be so close to our hearts.

The water, as you can see, is always crystal clear and the sunsets are spectacular! We stay at your resort almost every year and our daughter just told us that she wants to get married there!! 

Your resort tops all our vacation memories, including Hawaii!!

We want to visit at least 2 or 3 more times this summer; we love Laguna Beach and everything that there is to do while we are there.

Most of all how relaxed we are to come back to such a stressful city of Las Vegas.
